STRANGE ORCHID

Strange Orchid was reborn in 2024, after years of being a recording project for multi-instrumentalist and producer Lee Shears. 2025 saw Strange Orchid complete a series of live shows across South Wales, as well as a string of releases: “The Strange Orchid EP” (July 2025), “In The Deep End” (December 2025), and “Shape” (March 2026).  
 
Now expanded into a power trio, Strange Orchid blends fuzz guitars, dreamy mellotrons, grooving drums, melodic bass, and layered harmonies. The music draws from The Flaming Lips, The Arcs, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, and Motown. Balancing dreamy soundscapes with power-pop hooks, Strange Orchid creates an immersive experience — an analogue world warping within a digital age.
